Managing Director – Jon Collins 

Jon Collins began in the pump industry in 1967 when he was appointed as Assistant Manager in a UK specialist pump rental organisation (SLD Pumps Ltd, part of the Hanson Group). He became a director following postings in the USA and Ireland.

Jon moved to Australia in 1987 where he joined Hanson Sykes Pumps . He became Managing Director in 1988. He led the MCO from Hanson Plc with the Financial Director and one offshore investor. Jon became sole owner of the business in 1997.

Jon has a keen interest in rugby as has served as a director on the board of the Australia Rugby Union and is a former director of the New South Wales Waratahs (Super 14).

Jon is married with two sons, who both work within the business.

Finance Director – Allan Gibson 

Allan began his career as a Commercial Trainee with Coal & Allied Limited in 1987 and from there he moved on to his first role with Sykes Pumps as Financial Accountant. In 1995 he was promoted to Chief Accountant. During 1996 Allan obtained his CPA status having achieved High Distinctions in all five segments.

In 1997 Allan became the Financial Controller until his final promotion in 1998 to Financial Director.

Allan is married, and has three young children – all boys!

Engineering Director – Darren Coles 

Darren’s career began as a Trainee Production Engineer with Amalgamated Wireless Australasia in 1980 and developed as he was promoted to Production/Mechanical Engineer in 1984. He began his time with Hanson Sykes in 1989 as Mechanical Engineer. In 1995 Darren was promoted to Engineering & Manufacturing Manager, quickly gaining his promotion to Engineering Director shortly after that.

Darren is married, and has three grownup children in their twenties.

Bill Olde

Bill Olde is a Chartered Accountant with considerable experience in company management, capital raising, business growth and property development, over 20 years. He holds degrees of a Bachelor of Commence and a Bachelor of Economics.

With a strong financial background and an experienced director of many companies, Bill has the ability to focus on the corporate and strategic objectives of an organisation.
